Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) is one of the five international airports under responsibility of the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT).
As Chiang Mai International Airport is the major gateway to the scenic beauty and rich culture of northern Thailand, it plays an important role in promoting travel and tourism throughout the northern region.
The airport has 9 airlines on service and more than 2,000,000 passengers, 15,000 flights and 16,000 tons of cargo are handled at this airport.
There are also direct flights to and from Vientiane (Laos), Kunming (China), Yangon (Myanmar), Singapore and Taipei (Taiwan).
Since it is a small airport, both Domestic and International Terminals are located in the same building, and it is easy to walk between them. The building also houses food outlets, shops, car- rental agencies, exchange facilities and a post office.

Posted by PumaMadness, 08 February, 2008I always look forward and get excited whenever i set food for the first time on a new airport. Our class had a group tour to Chiang Mai last November. It was a very pleasant airport with friendly staff to help you out with your inquiries.
