Virtual Hill Tribe Museum presents the documentaries of culture and civilization of the tribes of South Asia, Thailand. Museum is sponsored by Rockefeller Foundation. There endeavor is to save the vanishing civilization of Hill Tribes.

Tribes are integrated with society of plain and their original culture is vanishing day by day. This is a big threat to their culture. The aim of the Museum is to protect their culture from intruders.

Museum is a project of Mirror Art Group of Chiang Rai, which documents the changing trends of the tribes. They have accumulated a large number of information about the tribes for the tourists. All work is written by Thais or Westerners. Tribal people work themselves in the museum. The museum is to promote the traditional culture of the Thailand in new generation.

The Virtual Hill Tribe Museum is a medium through which people come to know about the hill tribe cultures like Thais, Asians and Westerners and connects the hill tribe people with their past
