A trip to Chiang Mai would amount to much less if Insight Art Gallery were not on your itinerary. Insight Art Gallery is a treasure house of exquisite work from various renowned artists.

The works on show provide an insight into a very Thai dimension to the medium. Thai art is unique and recognizable in its style. The displays also show clearly how the schools of art such as cubism influenced (but not dominated) the local approach.

Especially where contemporary art is concerned, this is an art lover's gallery. As such, if this not your persuasion, the gallery may not warrant an exclusive visit, unless of course you have plenty of time on your hands.

They showcase contemporary art of Myanmar that reflects the traditional norms and values which is still lesser known to the outside world. It acts as a stage for artists with great talent. They aim to promote Myanmar culture and art which has developed through the years in its own style by displaying their distinguished works over coming years.
